The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and Denver International Airport welcomed 125 airport GIS and federal government personnel, as well as consultants and vendors, to the 16th Annual AAAE Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Conference and Exhibition, April 14-17, 2013.
The only conference in the world dedicated solely to the use of GIS at airports, the conference featured three roundtable discussions (Where to Put GIS and How to Make it Grow, BIMformation, GIS Technology Integration), as well as several important topics, including: GIS Solutions Beyond FAA Requirements, GIS and Interior Wayfinding, GIS Tools for Airfield Signage and Marking Plans, and GIS and Safety Management Systems. Boise, Boston Logan International, Denver International, Gillette-Campbell County, Los Angeles International, Philadelphia International, Portland International, San Francisco International, Truckee-Tahoe, and Westchester County airports presented at the conference.
