C. Daniel Prather, Ph.D., A.A.E., CAM
Formerly an Assistant Director of Operations at Tampa International Airport, C. Daniel Prather, Ph.D., A.A.E., COI recently completed his fifth year as an Associate Professor of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). As a faculty member in the Aerospace Administration concentration at MTSU, Dr. Prather typically teaches courses in Airport Management, Airline Management, FBO Management, and Airport Planning and Design. In addition, he is a member of the graduate faculty, an EXL mentor, and a Certified Online Instructor.
Dr. Prather is also an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and an instrument-rated private pilot. He recently authored a textbook, entitled General Aviation Marketing and Management: Operating, Marketing, and Managing an FBO, and is currently working on a new textbook entitled Airport Management. Dr. Prather actively serves the industry by being a participating member of the AAAE Academic Relations Committee, Training Committee, and Airport Operations/Planning/Safety committee, as well as the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Professional Development Program Review Committee.
He serves as Educator Trustee for the University Aviation Association and is the Airport Certified Employee (ACE)-Operations trainer for AAAE. Dr. Prather regularly engages the industry as part of the Transportation Research Board's Airport Cooperative Research Program and is the Principal of Prather Airport Solutions, Inc., an airport and collegiate aviation consulting firm.
