With the continuation of world economic uncertainty, airport executives are preparing to accept current conditions as the "new normal." Come to the 23rd Annual Airport Finance and Administration Conference, March 4-7, 2012 in Daytona Beach, Florida, to hear what the experts have to say about this as it relates to the airport finance world. If this is indeed the New Normal, you need to learn quickly how to adapt and lead in this changing environment; this two-day business meeting is where you will find the answers.
This conference, co-sponsored by AAAE and the Southeast Chapter AAAE, is the only conference of the year that focuses solely on airport finance and administration issues. The agenda features a wide range of topics that all relate to how to manage in the current environment. Also, you can earn CPE credits for all the sessions offered.
The event also offers excellent networking opportunities with the finance officials from all sizes of airports across the country and with airport suppliers. Last year's attendees represented more than 50 airports.
The agenda includes 10 general sessions. Among the topics slated for this conference are FAA reauthorization, airport compliance issues, financial market update, green initiatives, current trends in airline lease negotiations, human resource issues such as wellness programs and employee benefits, IT software issues and new technology, parking issues, air service development and the effects of Next Gen on your airport.
New this year, registrants will have the option to attend an Airport Finance 101 session on Sunday, March 4 to learn the basics about airport finance. It's ideal for newcomers to the airport finance world. Another new feature is the opportunity to spot-check your airport credit ratings with the three top ratings agencies, which will have representatives available for short private sessions during the conference. See this flyer for more information!
The 2011 conference was one of the largest in the two-plus decade history of the meeting, attracting some 140 airport executives and other industry representatives. We're planning for an even bigger event ins 2012!
All sessions will take place at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. The conference will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 4 (registration opens at 1 p.m.) and will end at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, with the Finance and Administration Committee meeting, which is open to all conference attendees.
Registration fees include a welcome reception, a Monday evening event, two continental breakfasts, two lunches, breaks and all handout materials. Dress for the meeting is business casual (no ties).
