General Information

The Airport Consultants Council/American Association of Airport Executives Airport Planning, Design & Construction Symposium has been the world’s premier technical program of its kind. The symposium will be held February 29-March 2, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. This unique technical event highlights the latest tools, methods, concepts and new ideas in airport development and operations.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The symposium includes sessions for new and seasoned airport development professionals alike. Workshops range from covering “the basics” to highly technical sessions. Concurrent technical workshops are scheduled under the following tracks:
• Planning
• Terminals and Landside
• Engineering and Airside
• Project Management & Construction Management
• Environmental Mini-Track
• Airport Finance Mini-Track

Information technology and sustainability will be a theme woven into the individual tracks. Combined “super tracks” will feature insights on the latest in cutting-edge trends affecting all those involved in airport development. Plenary sessions will provide the latest perspectives from airports and the airlines that will benefit airport staff and development firms alike, particularly in this time of uncertainty in the aviation industry.

All sessions will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The symposium begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, with a plenary session (registration and continental breakfast begins at 7 a.m.). It concludes at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012. Registration fees include three continental breakfasts, two luncheons, one welcome reception, refreshment breaks, access to the exhibit hall, general sessions and concurrent sessions and all symposium handouts.
