The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), is pleased to present the Tenth Annual AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit, December 6, 2010, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.
The Tenth Annual AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit continues the tradition of AAAE and federal aviation security policymakers coming together at a joint summit to review the complex issues surrounding aviation security today. This year, we will also look ahead at how we can work together to meet the security challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. Under new leadership, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have renewed their commitment to work in partnership with airport operators, airlines and aviation industry leaders to address evolving threats and increase the security and efficiency of the world's aviation system.
As one of the top attended security events in Washington, D.C. , this important annual Summit furthers this collaboration by bringing together Congressional staff and senior leadership from DHS and the TSA with airport operators and other key players in security policy and operations for an intensive one-day conference. The sessions will focus on the most important security issues facing the aviation industry, including security and screening operations, technology deployment and funding issues, recent legislative initiatives, general aviation security and domestic and international programs to facilitate passenger travel. This conference provides the perfect opportunity to join in a dialogue with policymakers from TSA, DHS and Congress, learn about the latest developments regarding security policy and technology, and network with key aviation security decision-makers.
All sessions will take place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott. The summit will begin with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010 (registration opens at 7:30 a.m.) and will end at 5 p.m. The registration fee includes all handouts, a continental breakfast, coffee breaks and a lunch. Dress is business casual attire.
