The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Civil Rights are pleased to present the Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Conference – Building and Maintaining Success, September 13-15, 2009, in Washington, DC.
This year’s conference will discuss current regulations to provide helpful information to airport directors, concessionaires and contractors and offer proactive tools necessary to implement and maintain a successful DBE program. Designed especially for airport directors and businesses that are eligible to participate in the federal airport DBE programs, this conference will include a detailed examination of the DBE rules and will supply participants with the fundamental guidance and the practical tools necessary for compliance with the regulations. Speakers will include the decision-makers and experts from various FAA and DOT offices, as well as airport representatives and concessionaires.
Are you currently in the process of creating or revising your DBE program? Arrive a day early on September 13 to attend the DBE Primer and save significantly on combined registration fees! Those new to the DBE arena and seasoned professionals looking to review the basics are invited to an optional “ABCs of DBE” session that will take place prior to the opening of the conference. Attendees of the DBE Conference will receive $25 off the registration fee for the DBE Primer.
All sessions will be held at the Renaissance M Street Hotel in Washington, DC. A welcome reception will be held on Sunday, September 13 at 6 p.m. with registration from 6 - 7 p.m. The conference will begin at 9 a.m. (registration and continental breakfast to begin at 7:30 a.m.) on Monday, September 14, and conclude at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15. There will be an early “ABC’s of DBE Session” for those new to the field starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 14 prior to the opening of the conference.
