AAAE and the Southeast Chapter AAAE are joining together again to host the 20th Annual Airport Finance and Administration Conference, February 22-25, 2009, in Orlando, Florida. This is the one conference of the year that is entirely focused on finance and administration issues and what is more important than these issues during turbulent times? If you are responsible for these issues at your airport, this is the conference to attend. The theme of the 2009 conference is “Navigating Cloudy Skies Through a Strategic Business Model,” and will have two full days of sessions.

Topics to be covered at the conference will include creative solutions for airport financing, FBO contracting, successful DBE programs and many more. This conference will address all the subjects that those working in the finance and administration fields need to know to manage today’s airports.

Sam Hoerter, A.A.E., former director of airports, Charleston County Airport Authority, will return to give an industry overview. Those who have heard Hoerter speak know he is not to be missed.

This meeting draws airport finance and administration officials from across the country. You will have opportunities to network with those in your field, as well as meet vendors with new and improved products. Plus, if you are a CPA, earn CPE credits for attending the sessions.

All sessions will take place at the Embassy Suites Orlando Hotel International Drive/Jamaican Court. The conference will begin with a reception on Sunday, February 22 at 6 p.m. and will end with an airport tour on Wednesday, February 25. The Southeast Chapter AAAE will have a board meeting at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 22. Registration fees include a welcome and a farewell reception, a Monday evening event, two continental breakfasts, two lunches, breaks and all handout materials. Dress for the meeting is business casual (no ties!). Confirmation letters will be emailed to all conference attendees.
