The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) are pleased to present the Green Synergies Across the Aviation Value Chain Europe-North America Symposium to be held November 12-14, 2008, in Washington, DC. Powerful calls are being made by regulatory bodies and community representatives for aviation to reduce its impact on the environment. While the fight against global climate change is grabbing the headlines, much remains to be done at the local level as well. Joint industry efforts are already delivering tangible results in these areas, with an increasing number of airlines and airports addressing these concerns.
However, ambitious initiatives to contain and ultimately reverse the growth of air transport’s emissions footprint present major technical, regulatory and investment/financial challenges that must be addressed. AAAE and IATA are acutely aware that only increased cooperation and unified actions and policies of all concerned players can assure aviation’s role as environmental pioneer. AAAE and IATA are therefore proud to join efforts and provide an unprecedented industry platform for two key industry stakeholders – airports and airlines – to discuss innovative policies and successful strategies in a fast-changing business environment.
Through real-life case studies and interactive discussions, the two-day symposium Green Synergies Across the Aviation Value Chain, November 12-14, 2008 in Washington, DC, will explore the challenges and opportunities for aviation leaders in driving green initiatives, together with an array of viable solutions currently being developed and implemented by the industry.
This event provides attendees with a strategic industry framework to both review and, where appropriate, redesign the way airports and airlines can respond effectively to today’s environmental imperatives, while increasing resilience to disruption and protecting the bottom line.
Do not miss the cutting edge information and the unique opportunity to benchmark and network within the exclusive gathering of airport and airline leaders overseeing successful environmental programs and projects.
