The AAAE/SCC Loretta Scott Accreditation / Certification Academy will be held in Irving, TX, March 29 - April 4, 2009. This week-long course provides an intensive review of the Body of Knowledge modules, and an opportunity to complete the multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. Instructors include knowledgeable industry professionals, as well as Accredited Airport Executives, focusing on the following topics:
Module 1: History, the Regulation of Air Transportation, Airports, and the FAA
Module 2: The Management Functions
Module 3: Management Theories, Roles, Motivation, and Communication
Module 4: Airport Capacity and Delay
Module 5: Air Traffic Control, Airspace, and Navigational Aids
Module 6: Environmental Regulations
Module 7: Airport Noise and Land Use Compatibility
Module 8: Financial Management and Accounting
Module 9: Airport Fees, Rates, & Charges
Module 10: Capital Development and Funding for Airports
Module 11: Airport System Planning and Airport Master Planning
Module 12: Airport Layout Plans
Module 13: Terminal Planning, Design and Operation
Module 14: Airport Operations and FAR Part 139—Certification
Module 15: Airport Security and Response to Emergencies
All active AAAE members enrolled in the C.M. or A.A.E. program who have not yet completed the multiple-choice exam are encouraged to attend. Some things to keep in mind:
Additionally, all tuition and fees must be paid no later than March 13, 2009 in order to attend the course.
Registration fees include all handouts, buffet lunch and breaks.
On-site registrations will not be accepted. The course is limited to the first 24 registrants with a wait list going into effect for all subsequent registrations received.
Attendees are expected to bring their own Body of Knowledge modules. Additional copies will not be provided. Electronic copies may be accessed and printed from the web site free of charge by clicking here.
