The changes to Part 107 (later changed to TSR 1542) became effective in November 2001 and require that an Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) and a designated alternate attend ASC training (TSR 1542.3).
AAAE is pleased to offer ASC training that meets the requirements outlined in TSR Part 1542. By attending the Airport Security Coordinator School, an ASC will learn the latest information available from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in addition to tools that can make an airport function safely and efficiently.
This school provides an overview of airport security and focuses on regulations, the airport security plan, law enforcement responsibilities, incident management, agency coordination and communication and an update on threat information.
All sessions will take place at the Embassy Suites Miami International Airport. The school begins on Friday, May 16, at 8 a.m. (registration opens at 7:30 a.m.) and concludes at 4 p.m. The registration fee includes all handouts, one luncheon and refreshment breaks. Dress is business casual (no ties). Confirmation letters will be e-mailed to attendees.
We look forward to seeing you in Miami!
