AAAE General Aviation Airport Security Conference
July 27-29, 2008
Waukesha, Wisconsin

The American Association of Airport Executives, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Waukesha County Technical College, is pleased to present the first-ever conference focused entirely on general aviation airport security. Improving upon general aviation airport security without unduly impeding air commerce or limiting freedom of movement by air remains a significant challenge.

The General Aviation Airport Security Conference’s comprehensive sessions will focus on the issues key to finding the right security balance at a general aviation airport, including risk assessments, mix of operations, technology, and possible new TSA mandates. Key representatives from general aviation airports, industry and government will participate in the program. In addition, the exhibit area will provide the opportunity to discuss and display the most recent solutions and technologies for improving security at general aviation airports.

All sessions will be held at the Country Springs Hotel. The conference will begin with a welcome reception and registration at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27 and will end at approximately 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. Dress for this conference is business casual. This course is worth nine credits in the AAAE Continuing Airport Management Education Unit (CEU) program.
